Rob is the Managing Director and founder of Ecology UK Ltd (formerly Rob Frith & Associates Ltd) and has over 10 years of experience in ecological consultancy.

Since his graduation from the University of Hull in 1981, with a Joint Honours Degree in Botany and Zoology, Rob has been involved in countryside and environmental work with Local Authorities, voluntary and charity organisations, public and private sector companies and Country Conservation Agencies.

Rob currently holds full membership of The Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management and the Countryside Management Association. Rob is also a Member of the Institute of Biology and has the status of Chartered Biologist.

For over twelve years, Rob was employed within Local Authority Countryside Management Services where he gained a great deal of experience of the practicalities of countryside management, land management, habitat creation and restoration which he has translated into a pragmatic, objective and positive approach through his company Ecology UK Ltd when dealing with ecological issues and a wide range of commercial developments.

Rob has specialised in dealing with developments that have the potential to impact upon sites covered by statutory nature conservation designations including national and international designations.

Rob has many years of experience in field survey work and is a competent field botanist with specialist knowledge of badger ecology and recording. He holds a licence for Great Crested Newts survey work and has been involved in a number of Great Crested Newt translocation projects requiring DEFRA or English Nature licences.
